Softball Team Announces Blazer Bash

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -----
The UAB softball team announces its annual Blazer Bash, scheduled for the weekend of September 27 and 28. Activities will begin on Friday night with a "Meet the Team" Banquet at 7:00 p.m. in the Green and Gold Room located in Bartow Arena. This should be an exciting time for fans to meet with the all the players, including the new freshman class which was named "Top 20 Recruiting Class" by spysoftball.com. The team is coming off the best season in UAB school history, with an overall record of 39-22 and 14-10 in the conference. The Blazers fell in the final game of the Conference USA championships, claiming 2nd place overall. The Blazer Bash Alumni Game will be played Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at George Ward Park, field six. Following the game, there will be a tailgate party at 4:00 p.m. at the UAB vs. Memphis football game.
