Charlotte took advantage of
three UAB errors to score four runs in the bottom of the first inning en route
to a 6-3 win over the Blazers in a Conference USA baseball game Friday evening
at Phillips Field.
The 49ers (13-9, 3-1 C-USA)

UAB got on the scoreboard in
the top of the third when second baseman Seth Rollin led off with a single, moved to second on a single
by first baseman Matt Womble, to
third on a single by third baseman Matt Gaulden, and scored on a sacrifice fly by right fielder Kyle
Leon.

wall.?

on several promising offensive opportunities, leaving two men on base in the
second, third, and seventh innings, and stranding a total of 10 base runners in
the game.
Yarbrough (0-3) pitched well
for UAB, allowing six runs (two earned) on seven hits with three walks and nine
strikeouts in seven complete innings of work.
