Women's Tennis Hosts Charlotte

BIRMINGHAM - The UAB women's tennis team will host Conference USA foe Charlotte Sunday morning at 10 a.m. at the Brook Highland Racquet Club.
The Blazers are 0-4 on the season, coming off a 4-1 loss against Cenrtal Florida. Senior Monika Schmid is 4-0 in singles play at the No. 1 position and 3-0 in doubles play with partner Femke deBoer . Schmid is the only Blazer with a winning record in singles play and has a season record of 14-4.
Charlotte comes to Birmingham for matches against Auburn on Saturday and the Blazers on Sunday. The 49er's are 3-2 on the season, coming off a 6-1 win over High Point. Playing in the No. 1 singles position, senior Alice Hanson carries a 3-2 record on the season and 3-0 in doubles play with partner Laura Swain.
Sunday's match will mark the first conference game of the season for both teams.
Next weekend, the Blazers are on a two-game road trip, playing Houston on Friday and Southern Miss on Sunday.
