UAB Softball Fall Tournament This Saturday

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- The UAB Blazer softball team will participate in a fall tournament this saturday at Pelham High School. The first game is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. with the last game scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Other participating teams include Central Alabama, Jacksonville State and Jefferson State.
"The coaching staff has been looking forward to this tournament since our last conference game in May," said UAB head coach Marla Townsend. "The girls have worked hard in the weight room and on the field to prepare for this weekend. We hope to make a statement to other teams about what our program is all about and what we are looking forward to in the upcoming season. This should also be fun for two of our players, Cliffanie Engram and Meredith Giangrosso, who both graduated from Pelham High School."
