Blazers Rained Out At Frost Cutlery Tournament

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.... The UAB softball team's scheduled games today against 15th-ranked Notre Dame and Chattanooga at the Frost Cutlery Tournament had been canceled due to rain.

The Blazers went 3-1 in two days of play at the tournament. Friday, UAB knocked off Jacksonville State 3-1 and then defeated Chattanooga 4-3. Saturday, the Blazers topped Jacksonville State 8-6 in nine innings and then fell to Notre Dame 9-1.

UAB (9-11, 0-0 Conference USA) returns to action Friday at the Samford University Invitational, which will be held in Pelham, Ala. The Blazers face Auburn in the first game at 3 p.m. and then will take on Ball State at 5 p.m.
