UAB Women's Tennis At The Middle Tennessee Fall Invitational

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The UAB women's tennis team is off to a great start after the first day of play at the Middle Tennessee Fall Invitational. Three Blazers are in the semi-finals and two are in the consolation semi-finals.
Monika Schmid, Sjouke Liem, and Tanja Pflugfelder all advanced in the first two rounds to the semi-finals in their flight.
Margaux Melsheimer and Natascha Immele both fell in the first round, but won in the second round to advance to the consolation semi-finals in their flights.
In doubles play, Schmid and Wilson and deBoer and Melsheimer both advanced to the second round in flight one.
Play will continue tomorrow and Sunday.
