BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB men's soccer team will hit the road for the first time this season, traveling to Macon, Georgia, for a battle against the Mercer Bears (0-2-1). Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. UAB will play just two road matches during the months of August and September.
The Blazers are coming off a 0-1 loss to Georgia State on Aug. 25. UAB generated 10 shots and created several scoring opportunities but was unable to find the back of the net. Following the loss, the Blazers move to 0-1-1 on the season.

UAB holds an 8-3-1 all-time record against Mercer, with the most recent meeting coming in 2022. In that contest, UAB took a 2-1 lead before Mercer scored in the 82nd minute to earn the victory in Macon. The Blazers have won five of the last seven meetings dating back to 2011.
