BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB men's soccer team (0-1-1) fell 1-0 to Georgia State (2-0) on Tuesday night at PNC Field, with the Panthers scoring the lone goal in the 41st minute.

UAB put together a great 20 minutes to start the game, creating four shots and three early corner kicks. Georgia State struck first though just before halftime, when Kenny Yedmel finished a pass from Virgil Dall'Agnol. The Blazers created several chances throughout the match, recording 10 shots and earning 10 corner kicks, but could not find the equalizer.

Lucas Nordin led UAB with three shots, including one on target, while Ethan Schulz made three saves in goal. Georgia State finished with 12 shots, four on target, and held on for the shutout.

UAB will travel to Mercer on Monday for their third match of the season. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. from Macon, Georgia.
