Blazer T/F Splits Up, Heads to Troy and Gainesville This Weekend

BIRMINGHAM - UAB Track & Field splits up this weekend as they go to Troy for the Doc Anderson Invitational and to Gainesville, Florida for the Pepsi Florida Relays hosted by Florida.
THE LAST TIME OUT
The Blazers hosted the UAB Spring Invitational last weekend. Birthe' Franck-Petersen set a new school record for the Outdoor Shot Put with a mark of 13.75m. Juliana Patton achieved her season-best in the Long Jump with a mark of 5.41m, finishing sixth out of 27. The Blazer quartet of Christiana Mudd, Hannah Malone, Jasmine Dereje, and Gabby Washington won the 4x200m relay with a time of 1:38.23.
THE FIELD
UAB, Troy, and Tulane make up three of the 19 teams competing in Troy.
The Blazers will be competing among many Power 4 schools in Gainesville this weekend. Florida, Miami, Georgia Tech, Baylor, UCF, Mississippi State, Maryland, South Carolina, and Minnesota will be just some of the teams making the trip to Gainesville.
