Blazers Back in Texas for Conference Play

DENTON, TX – The UAB Softball team (20-23, 8-10) is headed to Denton, Texas for a battle against North Texas (30-14, 12-6) Thursday-Saturday.
The Blazers come off a midweek win against Troy for the first time Troy 2018. The Blazers continued to answer runs by Troy until UAB took the lead in the fifth inning. UAB is in seventh place in the AAC standings just three games back from fourth place.
North Texas has played a few common opponents with UAB including Samford, Troy, Mississippi State, and Northwestern State. The Mean Green have impressive wins against Baylor, Texas Tech, and Georgia Tech. They are coming off a series win against FAU and currently two games back from first place and in third. North Texas only has a series loss to Wichita State and Charlotte to begin the season.
