UAB Set to Host Troy on Tuesday

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB Softball team (19-23, 8-10) will host Troy (27-19, 6-9) for a midweek game on Tuesday night at 5:30.
UAB is coming off of a series win against UTSA Where the Blazers had their most hits in a game since 2023 (14) and their most hits in a three-game series (37) since 2022. UAB also beat Auburn last week for the first time in 22 years. UAB will host four out of their last eight games including Troy and a series against East Carolina.
Troy is coming off a series loss to Georgia Southern after winning game one. The Trojans find themselves tied for ninth in the Sun Belt Conference standings. Troy has a few common opponents with UAB including North Texas, Auburn, South Florida, and West Georgia. The Trojans have a power four win over Wisconsin earlier in the year.
UAB is 12-19 against Troy with the Trojans winning the last three. The longest win streak in the series belongs to the Trojans winning four games from 2008-2009. UAB won back-to-back games in 2017-18. UAB last played Troy in 2022 when it took eight innings to beat the Blazers (6-3). The game before that was a run rule victory 8-0 in 2021.
