Blazers Travel to Tuscaloosa for Crimson Tide Invitational

TUSCALOOSA - UAB Track & Field travels to Tuscaloosa on Friday and Saturday for the Crimson Tide Invitational. Friday's action will begin at 10 a.m. and Saturday's events will start at 10:30 a.m.
THE LAST TIME OUT
Last weekend, the Blazers split up to compete in both the Doc Anderson Invite at Troy University and at the Pepsi Florida Relays hosted by the University of Florida. Birthe' Franck-Petersen broke her own school record in the Outdoor Shot Put, a record that only stood for a week. Jasmine Dereje finished the 400m Hurdles with a time of 59.10. The time currently ranks as the third best time in the American Conference and in the top 25 in NCAA East.
THE FIELD
Along with the Blazers and Crimson Tide, Arkansas State, Belmont, Jacksonville State, Indiana, Mississippi State, Samford, South Alabama, Southern Miss, and Troy will be among the teams
THIS TIME LAST YEAR
The most notable finish came in the Steeplechase when Lidia Longo placed 6th overall with a time of 11:03.75.
