Softball Starts Back-to-Back Weekends in Texas

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB Softball team (17-22, 6-9) is headed to San Antonio to play UTSA (15-23, 2-13). The series is scheduled for Friday-Sunday, 6:00, 2:00, and 1:00 p.m.
UAB have won two out of the last three conference series, beating Tulsa and Memphis before dropping two out of three against Wichita State. The Blazers are now at 6-9 in conference play and eighth place in the standings. UAB defeated Auburn on Wednesday night for the first time in 22 years splitting the midweek.
UAB has just four home games left this season including one midweek against Troy and one conference series against East Carolina. UAB is on the road for 11 out of their last 15 games.
UTSA currently are sitting at an RPI of 172 with notable wins over Michigan State, Houston, and one against Wichita State. UAB has an RPI at 146. The Roadrunners have lost four straight games including a midweek at Baylor (0-6).
