Blazers Set to Host #17 Alabama on Tuesday Night at Regions Field

BIRMINGHAM - UAB Baseball (13-3) hosts #17 Alabama (16-1) on Tuesday night at Regions Field. Tuesday's game will be the last of six consecutive games at a minor league operated field for UAB.

TICKET INFORMATION AND PROMOTIONS
Tickets are $12 for adults, $7 for youth (16 and under) can be purchased here or on-site at Regions Field. The featured promotion for the game will be a UAB mini baseball helmet giveaway (while supplies last).
THE LAST TIME OUT
The Blazers are coming off a 3-1 weekend at the First Pitch Invitational in Greenville, South Carolina. UAB fell to Michigan State on Friday afternoon before defeating Winthrop that night. The Green and Gold defeated Cornell on Saturday, then avenged their defeat to Michigan State on Sunday.
SCOUTING THE CRIMSON TIDE
The 16-1 Crimson Tide dropped their first game of the season on Sunday against Presbyterian at home. Alabama has beaten Coastal Carolina, NC State, Ohio State, and Troy already this season. The Tide boasts a .340 batting average which ranks seventh in D1 Baseball.
SERIES HISTORY
Alabama leads the overall series, 57-28. Alabama also leads 25-13 in Birmingham.
TODD CLAY EARNS AMERICAN CONFERENCE HONORABLE MENTION HONORS
Todd Clay has earned American Conference Honorable Mention honors after his performances last week. This is the first time Clay has received American Conference honors and the fourth consecutive week a Blazer has been recognized.
Over five games, Clay went 13-for-22 with six RBI, five runs scored, and four walks. The Auburn, Ala. native went 3-for-4 against his hometown team in a 6-5 victory on Wednesday and went 5-for-5 in a 12-7 win over Michigan State on Sunday. Clay's five hits in a game is the most by a Blazer since John Marc Mullins against Alabama A&M on March 5, 2022.
