Women’s Basketball Falls at Southern Miss

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – UAB women's basketball (4-5) fell 81-73 at Southern Miss (7-3) on Sunday afternoon in Reed Green Coliseum.
UAB had four players in double figures, led by Sofia Munoz with a career-high 24 points, including four 3-pointers, and Cali Smallwood with 16 points and seven rebounds. Monae' Duffy recorded 14 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double, while Molly Moffitt tallied 12 points on the afternoon.
Southern Miss was led by Hayleigh Breland with 25 points while Morgan Sieper followed behind with 16 points. The Golden Eagles shot 50 percent from the field, 44 percent from the long range and 61 percent at the line.
