UAB Pulls Away in Second Half to Defeat Samford, 65-49

BIRMINGHAM – UAB women's basketball (7-5) defeated in-town foe Samford (6-9) 65-49 on Monday at Bartow Arena to close out non-conference play.
The Blazers had five players score in double figures with Molly Moffitt leading the way by recording 14 points while adding five rebounds and three assists. Monae' Duffy and Sofia Munoz both recorded 13 points each and Duffy led UAB with eight rebounds. Cali Smallwood came away with 12 points and six rebound, while Eleecia Carter totaled 11 points and seven rebounds.
Samford was led by Kaylee Yarbrough with 13 points while Aubrey Blankenship registered 10 points. Blankenship led the Bulldogs with seven rebounds.
