LAST TIME OUT
- Molly Moffitt (15 points), Sofia Munoz (14 points), Cali Smallwood (12 points) and Monae' Duffy (11 points) all scored in double figures to lead the UAB offense.
- The Blazers had the lead for 32:23 minutes of the game and used a strong second quarter to maintain its lead for the rest of the game.
- In the second quarter UAB outscored MVSU 16-8 with six players contributing points.
- UAB also outscored the Devilettes 26-15 in the third to break open the game even more.
- Smallwood recorded a season-high eight rebounds with four of those coming in the second quarter.
- Munoz matched her season-high four steals and led the Blazers in steals on the afternoon.
- Jordan Rosier collected a season-best seven points and tied her season-high three rebounds.
- Mari Miller came off the bench and scored a season-best four points
- The Blazers had 48 rebounds compared to Mississippi Valley State's 41.
- UAB scored 46 points in the paint, 25 bench points, 20 points off turnovers and 12 fast break points.
- The Green and Gold were 43 percent from the field and 86 percent at the free throw line.
- UAB's defense held the Devilettes to 33 percent in the field and 17 percent from the long range.
- Samford is 6-8 on the season and defeated Lipscomb 65-59 last Thursday.
- Kaylee Yarbrough leads the Bulldogs with 12.9 points per game, while Briana Rivera is averaging 12.4 points. Emily Bowman leads Samford with 6.2 rebounds per game.
- The Blazers face Samford for the 11th time in program history.
- The Green and Gold lead the series 7-3 and are 6-0 when playing at Bartow Arena.
- The last matchup took place on Dec. 12, 2021, where the Bulldogs earned a 77-68 win.
