BIRMINGHAM – UAB women's basketball is back in Bartow Arena after four straight road games when it hosts Southern Illinois on Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 11 a.m. CT.

LAST TIME OUT

The Blazers are coming off the Cancun Challenge where UAB defeated Southern Miss 77-72 and fell 82-61 against No. 8 TCU.
Eleecia Carter was named to the All-Tournament Yucatan Team for her efforts during the tournament.
Carter, Molly Moffitt, Monae' Duffy and Cali Smallwood all scored in double figures throughout the tournament.
Carter led the Blazers in both games, averaging 19.0 points per game.
Moffitt recorded 17.5 points, Duffy 10.0 points, and Smallwood 9.5 points per game.
Moffitt had a career-high 19 points, eight field goals and matched her career-best three 3-pointers in the win against Southern Miss.
Sofia Munoz recorded a season-high 10 assists against Southern Miss.
TCU averaged 86 points per game, but UAB was able to hold the Horned Frogs to 82 points.

SCOUTING SOUTHERN ILLINOIS

Southern Illinois is 1-5 on the season and fell 60-52 to Western Kentucky on Nov. 30.
Alayna Kraus leads the Salukis with 16.8 points per game, while Kayla Cooper is averaging 10.2 points and Indya Green has 8.5 points.

SERIES HISTORY

The Blazers face Southern Illinois for the fifth time in program history.
UAB leads the series 4-0.
The last matchup took place on Dec. 22, 2024, where the Blazers earned an 75-57 win at Southern Illinois.
Head coach Randy Norton is 3-0 against the Salukis.
