JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A career day by KyeRon Lindsay-Martin led the UAB Men's Basketball team (5-2) to an 81-73 victory against the Southern Illinois Salukis in day two of the Jacksonville Classic. Lindsay-Martin led the Blazers in points with 25 and added 10 rebounds to secure his fourth career double-double. Jacob Meyer added another 20 points of his own, while Ahmad Robinson and Evan Chatman each scored 11.

Southern Illinois (2-3) had three players who scored in double-digits, including a 10-point effort off the bench for Davion Sykes. Quel'Ron House led the Salukis with 18 points.

How it Happened

SIU opened the game's scoring with a midrange jumper from Quel'Ron House [2-0].
After a back-and-forth start, the Blazers busted the game open with an 11-0 run with points from five different Blazers, putting the Blazers up 10 [16-6].
Meyer hit a pair of three pointers to put the Blazers up a first-half best 13 points, but the Salukis's Isaiah Stafford responded with six points of his own as the Blazers held a steady lead through the first 12 minutes [28-17].
Southern Illinois went on a quick 10-0 run in under three minutes, shooting 4-for-4 during the run to pull within one [28-27].
A Lindsay-Martin jumper snapped the Southern Illinois run, but back-to-back Davion Sykes lay-ins put the Salukis up for the first time since the opening 90 seconds [30-31].
