BIRMINGHAM - UAB Track & Field Head Coach Kurt Thomas has announced the full schedule for the 2025-26 season. The slate has plenty of familiar venues the Blazers have been to in recent years.
One of the familiar venues is the Birmingham Crossplex, where the Blazers will be for nine different days during the Indoor. The first of the nine will be on December 5th for the Birmingham Indoor Icebreaker. The Green and Gold then host a two-day meet at the Crossplex for the UAB Blazer Invite on January 9th and the UAB Vulcan Invite on January 10th.
The Blazers remain at the Crossplex the following weekend as Samford hosts two days worth of action; the Samford Multi on January 15th and the Samford Invite on January 16th.
UAB hits the road for the first of two road trips on the Indoor schedule after a two-week hiatus. Clemson hosts its annual Bob Pollock Invite on January 30th-31st at the Clemson Track & Field Complex.
The Blazers are back at home the following weekend as they host the UAB Green & Gold Invite on February 6th and the UAB Invite the following day.
The final regular season meet on the Indoor schedule falls on Valentine's Day weekend as the Blazers make the trip up to Nashville for Vanderbilt's Music City Invite on February 13th-14th.
UAB will once again host the American Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Birmingham Crossplex. The meet will be on February 27th-28th and will conclude the Indoor portion of the schedule.
The Outdoor schedule starts off with seven consecutive weekends UAB will have a meet. The Green and Gold head to Atlanta for the beginning of the Outdoor schedule as they participate in the Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket Invite on March 20th-21st at George C. Griffin Track.
The lone time the Blazers host an outdoor meet this season will be the following weekend as they host the UAB Spring Invite on March 27th-28th. Senior day festivities will be held that weekend and more details regarding that event will be announced at a later date.
The month of April is full of power conference host teams. With the exception of Troy's Doc Anderson Invite on April 3rd-4th, UAB will travel to a power conference school every weekend of the month. Simultaneously with the Troy meet, the Blazers will also send athletes to the Florida Relays hosted by the University of Florida. The following weekend, UAB returns to the 205 to take part in Alabama's Crimson Invite. The Blazers then head to Winston-Salem for the Wake Forest Invitational on April 17th-18th. For the first time since 2010, UAB travels to Baton Rouge for LSU Alumni Gold which will be held on April 24th-25th. To wrap up the power conference stretch, the Blazers head to Starkville for the Mississippi State Maroon and White Invite.
The Green and Gold take a two week break before they take part in the American Conference Outdoor Championships hosted by North Texas on May 14-16.
Complete information for each meet will be announced the week of each meet. All relevant information can be found on uabsports.com.
