BIRMINGHAM – UAB women's basketball travels to Chattanooga for its first road test of the season on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. CT.

LAST TIME OUT

Eleecia Carter (11 points), Sofia Munoz (16 points) and Cali Smallwood (29 points) all scored in double figures to lead the UAB offense to an 80-56 win over Alabama A&M on Wednesday night.
Smallwood sank a career-high six three-pointers en route to her career-high 29 points, leading the Blazers' season-high 47 bench points.
Munoz tallied a season-high in both assists (eight) and steals (four).
Carter (three) and Monae' Duffy (four) also combined to record seven steals.
The Blazers' 41 first-half points mark the highest scoring opening half of the season.
The Green and Gold also tallied its highest scoring second-half of the season, scoring 39 points.
Munoz sank her second consecutive first-quarter buzzer-beater of the season (vs. South Alabama, vs. Alabama A&M).
The Blazers shot a season-high 66 percent (4-for-6) from deep in the first quarter.
The Green and Gold forced a season-high 27 turnovers, the most since Nov. 18, 2011 (vs. East Tennessee State).
UAB shot 49 percent from the floor (27-for-55), 61 percent from deep (13-for-21) and 81 percent from the line (13-for-16).

SCOUTING CHATTANOOGA

The Mocs fell 73-56 at Troy on Wednesday. Their other loss came against Florida (94-52), but they earned wins against King University (82-34) and at Lipscomb (59-56).
Two players had double digit points in the loss to Troy. Caia Elisaldez led the team with 11 points.
Chattanooga returns six players from last year's roster, including Preseason Player of the Year Elisaldez and Preseason All-SoCon Gianna Corbitt.
The Mocs brought in two transfers and three freshmen.

SERIES HISTORY

The Blazers head to Chattanooga for the 38^th time in program history.
The Mocs lead the series 20-17 and are 11-6 at home against UAB.
The last matchup took place on Nov. 29, 2021, where the Blazers earned a 67-52 win.
Head coach Randy Norton is 3-1 against Chattanooga.
