Blazer Cross Country Looks to Continue Hot Start at Chile Pepper Festival

BIRMINGHAM - UAB Cross Country looks to continue its strong start to the 2025 campaign as the Blazers travel to Fayetteville, Arkansas to compete in the Chile Pepper Festival. The meet is hosted by the University of Arkansas.
THE LAST TIME OUT
The Green and Gold were the champions of the Firehawk Invitational on September 20. UAB had four athletes finish in the top 10 and nine in the top 20. Lidia Longo was the overall champion, Katie Keur placed third, while Savannah Meyer and Kaitlyn Wende each finished ninth and 10th respectively.

Saturday marks the first time the Blazers have competed in an event hosted by Arkansas.

Saturday's 5k race will begin at 11 a.m.

UAB is looking for its third straight top 3 finish. The Blazers last back-to-back top 3 team finish was in 2020.
