Men’s Tennis Opens Season on Sunday at Memphis

BIRMINGHAM – UAB men's tennis will open the 2025 season on Sunday afternoon at Memphis. The match is set for 1 p.m. CT.
The Blazers enter their first season under new Head Coach Matt Coomer. Coomer served as UAB's assistant last year, helping the Blazers to a 12-11 record.
UAB is led by a group of experienced players, starting with seniors Noah Malige and Georgios Nouchakis. Malige Posted a 10-7 singles record last season and holds a 30-17 career mark while Nouchakis went 8-9 last season while posting a 15-18 mark overall as a Blazer.
Sophomores Juan Pablo Valdez and Ondrej Valek each picked up 10 singles wins last season and return for their second year as Blazers.
