Women’s Golf Opens Season at Golfweek Fall Challenge

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB women's golf team is set to open the 2024-25 season this weekend at the Golfweek Fall Challenge at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club in Pawleys Island, S.C.
Led by third year head coach Jesse Lawley, the Blazers are set to compete against 17 other schools this week. Along with UAB, the field also includes Florida Atlantic, Dartmouth, High Point, Campbell, New Mexico State, UNC Wilmington, Charlotte, Boise State, Morehead State, Arkansas State, UNC Greensboro, Tennessee Tech, USC Upstate, SFA, Charleston Southern, North Carolina A&T and Queens.
Lawley's team consists of junior Grace Sinclair, graduate Lauren Gilchrist, freshman Chloe Ruble, senior Anna Krieger and senior Brooke Wagner.
The course is a par 71 that plays 6,029 yards and the field will play 18 holes each day with the final round set for Tuesday. The Blazers are paired with Arkansas State and UNCG in the opening round.
