LOUISVILLE - The UAB Volleyball team is headed to Louisville, Kentucky to play in the Bellarmine Classic. UAB will face off against Bellarmine, Cincinnati, and IU Indy on Friday and Saturday.
Game Times
Friday the Blazers will play Bellarmine at 12 p.m. ET and Cincinnati at 5 p.m. ET. Capping off the tournament on Saturday with a game against IU Indy at 12 p.m. ET. The game against Bellarmine will be broadcast on ESPN+, while the preceding games will only have live stats located here.
Series History
This will be the first match up between Bellarmine and UAB.
Cincinnati holds a 14-6 record against UAB with the last meeting coming in 2008 when the Bearcats won 3-0.
The Blazers are 1-1 against IU Indy with the last match coming in 2014. IU Indy won the match 3-1.
Crook Earns Player of the Week
Jorda Crook had a big first week of the season, getting 36 kills in two games. Crook ranks 11th in the nation in NCAA kills per set (5.14) and 10th in the nation in points per set (5.86).
The Blazers started off the season 1-1 beating Alcorn State and dropping the game to Mississippi State.
