UAB Men’s Soccer Falls at Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – UAB men's soccer (4-2-3, 1-1 AAC) fell at Memphis (4-4-1, 2-0 AAC) by a score of 2-0 on Saturday night.
The Tigers jumped ahead early in the match with a goal in the 10th minute. Lucho Galizzi found the back of the net off a corner kick to give Memphis the early advantage.
UAB was able to pressure the Memphis goal throughout the night, firing 15 shots, including five on goal.
Gui Gragnano nearly leveled the score in the 59th minute when his shot hit off the crossbar, but the Tigers remained ahead.
The Blazers looked to find an equalizer late, but they were unable to find the back of the net. Memphis was able to put the game away with a late goal in the final minute to ice the match at 2-0.
UP NEXT
The Blazers will travel to Miami to take on FIU on Saturday, October 5. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. CT.
