UAB Splits on Final Day of Horned Frog Challenge

FORT WORTH, Texas - The UAB beach volleyball team concluded the Horned Frog Challenge with a 5-0 loss to No. 5 TCU and a 5-0 victory over Stephen F. Austin on Saturday in Fort Worth.
The Blazers finished the tournament at 2-2 overall and are now 7-5 on the season.
Olivia Chychrun and Addison Atkins took TCU to three sets on Court 4, but the Horned Frogs were able to win every other court in straight sets.
The same duo also went three sets against Stephen F. Austin and came out victorious 16-14 in the final set. UAB won all other courts in straight sets against SFA.
UAB now turns it attention to the Sugar Beach Bash next weekend in Louisiana where the Blazers will face Tampa, South Carolina, Southern Miss and New Orleans.
