UAB Baseball Heads to Nashville, TN for Three Game Series

NASHVILLE - The UAB Baseball team will travel to Nashville, Tennessee to face Belmont University. UAB will play a three game series starting on Friday at 4 PM. Saturday's contest will be played at 2 PM and Sunday will be at 1 PM.
The Belmont University baseball team started off the season 7-6, coming off a midweek loss to Kennesaw State. The Bruins went 27-33 last season finishing 7th in the Missouri Valley Conference. Belmont is coached by Dave Jarvis who is in his 26th year in Nashville. Jarvis has been a head coach for 35 years sending 29 players to professional baseball. The Bruins have six guys with at least a .350 OB%, showing efficiency in the batter's box. Belmont has four pitchers that have appeared in five games, which leads the team in appearances.
UAB and Belmont have played two common opponents so far, including North Alabama and Kennesaw State. UAB won two out of three vs Kennesaw State, while Belmont lost a midweek game to the Owls. UAB won two out of three at North Alabama, while Belmont beat UNA in a midweek game.
History
There have been four games between the two teams, with UAB owning the series 3-1. Most recently the Blazers beat the Bruins in a three game series in 2022. The first matchup came in 2001 in Nashville.
