BIRMINGHAM – UAB men's basketball scored its most points in a game since the 2022-23 season in a 109-64 win over Auburn Montgomery on Monday night. Ja'Borri McGhee led the Blazers with 25 points and six assists while both Ryan Donohoo and Marquis Hargrove scored their first collegiate points.

After struggling with turnovers in the early stages of the game, the Blazers closed the first half on a 13-2 run to take a commanding 49-30 lead into the break. Christian Coleman and Bradley Ezewiro led UAB with 10 and nine points apiece at the break.

Ja'Borri McGhee got the Blazers started in the second half, scoring the first six points for UAB. He added 17 of his career high 25 points in the second half while shooting 7-for-10 from the field.

Bradley Ezewiro had his best game as a Blazer, recording his first double-double of the season with 17 points and 11 rebounds while shooting a perfect 6-for-6 from the field and 5-for-5 from the free throw line.

Late in the game, a plethora of Blazers stepped on the floor for their first minutes at UAB. Marquis Hargrove took advantage of his opportunity and knocked down threes on back-to-back possessions. Moments later, Ryan Donohoo confidently knocked down a deep three from the logo for his first collegiate points as the Blazers got back on track with a 109-64 win.

NOTES

UAB's 109 points and 27 assists are its most since November 26, 2022 vs. Rhodes.
The Blazers' 14 steals are their most since December 17, 2023 vs. Montevallo.
UAB was a perfect 13-for-13 from the free throw line for the first time since March 22, 2023 at Vanderbilt.
Ja'Borri McGhee scored a career best 25 points while dishing out a career high six assists.
Bradley Ezewiro recorded his fourth career double-double with 17 points and 11 boards.
Christian Coleman added 16 points and nine rebounds with three steals.
Efrem "Butta" Johnson reached double figures for the second straight game with 12 points and five assists.
Both Marquis Hargrove and Ryan Donohoo scored their first collegiate points in the win.
