Makhi Hughes and Darian Mensah led the Green Wave with Hughes rushing for 119 yards and two touchdowns, and Mensah completing 80 percent of his passes for 134 yards.

The Green Wave scored on three of their first four drives, including a 51-yard rushing touchdown by Hughes. Hughes had 12 attempts for 97 rushing yards in the first half. Tulane also took advantage of a special teams opportunity with a 100-yard kick return for a touchdown by Rayshawn Pleasant.

UAB added a pair of field goals from sophomore kicker Jonah Delange in the first half and Delange is now 9-of-9 on the season. The scoring ended just before halftime with a 1-yard rushing touchdown by Tulane's Arnold Barnes.Β The Green Wave led 37-6 at the break.Β

Yulkeith Brown caught two touchdown passes to open the third quarter to help the Green Wave increase the lead to 57-6 after three. Β

UAB scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter on a 73-yard reception from Amare Thomas and Solomon Beebe's first career rushing touchdown.
