Men’s Golf Continues Fall Action at Everett Buick GMC Classic

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB men's golf team continues its fall slate this Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 14-15, at the Everett Buick GMC Classic hosted by Arkansas Little Rock.
The Blazers missed their last tournament in South Carolina due to Hurricane Helene but return to the course this week at Chenal Country Club in Little Rock which is a par 72 that plays 7,115 yards.
UAB is one of 15 participating teams, along with Ball State, Central Arkansas, Kansas City, Lamar, Lipscomb, Little Rock, Louisiana, North Texas, Oral Roberts, SIU-Edwardsville, South Carolina, Southern Illinois, Troy and ULM.
Head Coach Charlie Hoyle will field a team consisting of sophomore Morgan Slaton, freshman Jonathan Ericsson, freshman Bernhard Koster, sophomore Will Stelt and senior Paul Bruce.
Through two tournaments, Slaton is leading the Blazers with a 71.8 stroke average. Paul Bruce is coming off a tournament in which he shot a career-best 64 in the second round of the Graeme McDowell Invitational, which was tied for the fifth lowest round in program history.
