MEMPHIS, Tenn. – UAB men's tennis fell in its season opener on Friday evening at Memphis, 6-1.
The Tigers were able to secure the doubles point after claiming Courts Two and Three.
1. Pablo Alemany/Charlie Barry (MEM) vs. Noah Malige/Ondrej Valek (UAB) 4-4, unfinished
2. Conor Gannon/Harry Rock (MEM) def. Juan Pablo Valdez/Carlos Gimenez Perez (UAB) 6-0
3. Maxime Dubouch/Pau Fanlo (MEM) def. Georgios Nouchakis/Parker Bradbary (UAB) 6-3
Memphis took control in singles play, taking each of the first five available points. Georgios Nouchakis earned the sole point for the Blazers with a 7-6, 7-6 win.
