UAB Set to Meet Alabama State in Mid-Week Matchup

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB Blazers (15-31) will travel to Montgomery, Ala. for a mid-week matchup against their seventh in-state opponent – Alabama State (33-15). First pitch is set for 6 P.M. on Tuesday, May 9 at Wheeler-Watkins Baseball Complex.

The Blazers are 5-4 in mid-week games this season while the Hornets are 3-8. UAB enters the week coming off a game three win over Louisiana Tech by a score of 6-1 but dropped the series. Alabama State, on the other hand, swept Mississippi Valley State to increase its conference record to 21-3.

Logan Braunschweig continues to lead the team offensively and has batted .321 since March 13 while collecting the most stolen bases of anyone this season (15).
