UAB Baseball Falls Late In Game Two at Louisiana Tech

RUSTON, La. – After having led majority of the game, UAB (14-32, 5-18) fell in late innings to Louisiana Tech (24-24, 13-10) by a score of 7-4 on Saturday, May 6.
UAB struck early in the third and fourth innings and again in the sixth and seventh to hold the lead through six and a half innings. La Tech took the lead for the first time after having scored three runs in the seventh and two in the eighth. The Blazers were unable to plate any runs during their last at bats.
Blayze Berry started on the mound for UAB and threw six complete innings while only giving up two runs on four hits with six strikeouts before being relieved by Tyler O'Clair, Christian Clack and Leo Harris. O'Clair and Clack (2-2) – who was given the loss – allowed three combined runs on one hit. Harris closed out the game on the mound and allowed two runs on three hits with two strikeouts.
Darryl Buggs (2-for-5) and Nick Hollifield (2-for-3) collected multi-hit games. Gavin Lewis Jr., Logan Braunschweig, Christian Hall and David Harris also picked up hits while Braunschweig, Hollifield and Buggs score UAB's runs.
