Men’s Tennis Opens C-USA Tournament Against Host Rice

BIRMINGHAM – UAB men's tennis (20-6) will take on Rice (12-9) on Friday, April 21 at 12 p.m. CT in the opening round of the Conference USA Tournament. Entering the postseason, the Blazers have won seven of eight matches on the court and will look to capitalize on an outstanding regular season.
The Blazers will look to win a match in the conference tournament for the first time since 2016. UAB has lost six straight postseason matches.
Michal Lusovsky and Noah Malige have been standouts for the Blazers in singles competition. Lusovsky leads the Blazers with a 16-2 record in singles play while Malige holds a 15-3 record. The duo also makes up UAB's No. 1 doubles team and they hold a 6-4 record.
UAB has experienced a massive turnaround from a season ago, increasing its win total from eight to 20 in just one season.
