UAB Men’s Tennis Travels to No. 20 Mississippi State, Hosts Lipscomb

BIRMINGHAM – UAB men's tennis (6-2) will put its six-match winning streak on the line on Saturday, as the Blazers travel to Starkville to face off with No. 20 Mississippi State (9-1) at 3 p.m. CT on Saturday. The Blazers will then return home to face Lipscomb (3-4) on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT at the Hoover Met Tennis Center.

The Bulldogs boast a pair ranked of singles players, likely giving Michal Lusovsky his second ranked opponent of the season. He picked up a win over then No. 36 Enzo Aguiard of Alabama to start the year. Lusovsky has won all seven of his singles matches this season and he is the reigning Conference USA Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week.

The Blazers' last win over a Top 20 opponent came on April 12, 1997 against then-No. 8 Middle Tennessee. UAB is 1-24 all-time against Mississippi State.

UAB has won the doubles point in seven straight matches this season. The sole defeat came in the season-opening contest against Alabama.
