UAB Volleyball Opens Registration for 2023 Volleyball Camps

BIRMINGHAM – Head Coach Betsy Freeburg has announced the 2023 Slate for the Freeburg Volleyball Training Camps.
Spanning from elementary to high school, interested athletes will be able to hone in on the development, refinement, and improvement of fundamental and positional skills. Camps will be held from June 13 to 15 for grades 3-8, July 15 for positional development, and July 21-23 for intermediate to advanced skill level athletes.
"Volleyball camp at UAB is a great opportunity to learn to play volleyball the Blazer way," said head coach Betsy Freeburg. " We look forward to hosting a variety of camps this summer based on age, and no matter the skill level, you will learn how we teach and train in Bartow Arena. We cannot wait to see you in Bartow Arena this summer!"
Registration for the camps are currently open and can be accessed on the Freeburg Volleyball Training website.
JUNE 13-15: ELEMENTARY DAY CAMP

Beginner to Intermediate Skill Level
This camp is a perfect chance for your elementary school volleyball player to learn and practice volleyball! The UAB Coaches and Players will provide programming perfect for young beginners with modifications to facilitate learning the basics of the sport.
Cost: $100 (*Baby Sitting Available until 3:00 pm for $100 extra add-on)
JUNE 13-15: MIDDLE SCHOOL DAY CAMP

Beginner to Intermediate Skill Level
This camp is a great chance for middle-school-aged volleyball players to improve their basic skills in volleyball and have fun competing. Campers will be sorted by age and/or skill level. Campers will learn how to pass, serve, attack, dig, set, and block* (*if skill level allows). The camp will be coached by UAB players and Coaches. Each camper will be given a camp t-shirt. Lunch will also be provided each day.
Cost: $240
JULY 15: POSITIONAL DAY CAMP

Intermediate and Advanced Skill Levels (some club or high school experience recommended)
This camp is for any experienced volleyball player looking to take their game to the next level or play in college. The campers will be grouped by position and skill level and learn how to train and compete like the UAB Blazers. The UAB coaching staff and team will teach the campers how to pass, serve, attack, dig, set, and/or block at the highest level. There will also be plenty of competition and strategic/tactical development.
Cost: $150
JULY 21-23: ELITE OVERNIGHT CAMP

This camp is for any experienced volleyball player looking to take their game to the next level or play in college. The campers will be grouped by position and skill level and learn how to train and compete like the UAB Blazers. The UAB coaching staff and team will teach the campers how to pass, serve, attack, dig, set, and/or block at the highest level. There will also be plenty of competition and strategic/tactical development. Campers will have the opportunity to stay overnight as a Residential Camper in Gold Hall for nights 1 and 2 of this camp.
JULY 27-29: HIGH SCHOOL TEAM CAMP
We would love for your team to join us for three days of great training, team building, and competition on UAB's campus in Southside Birmingham. We hope you join us as we continue to build this into one of the best high school volleyball team camps in the Southeast!
We are excited to announce that we will have a Residential option at this year's camp! Gold Hall will host the teams that choose to stay on campus. There will still be a Commuter option for teams that are local or wish to lodge elsewhere.
Cost: Players - $275 Commuter/$350 Residential
Cost: Coaches - $75 Commuter/$150 Residential
In ordinance with NCAA Guidelines, Freeburg Volleyball Training Camps are open to any and all entrants, limited only by number and age, grade level and/or gender.
