Crook Wins Third Consecutive Offensive Player of the Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -Â Junior opposite hitter Jorda Crook was named the American Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the third consecutive week, marking the first time a UAB Volleyball player has ever done so. Crook takes home the honor following her third straight week averaging five or more kills per set.Â
The Ohatchee, Ala., native tallied 42 kills on 111 attacks, hitting .225 combined against East Carolina and Charlotte. Crook led the American with 6.19 points per set, totaling 49.5 points with five aces and five block assists, adding to her 42 kills.
Crook was one kill shy of her career high with 24 in the Blazers' five-setter at East Carolina. Crook's 66 total attacks against the Pirates were a new career high. She added three aces and nine digs in Friday's match.
With 18 kills in three sets at Charlotte, Crook averaged six kills per set in a match for the third time in 2025. Her .311 hitting performance is the sixth time she's eclipsed the .300 mark this year. Crook shut down the 49er attack four times and had a pair of aces on Sunday.
