Women’s Basketball Returns to Action on Monday vs. Western Carolina

BIRMINGHAM – Following a week in between games, the UAB women's basketball team returns to Bartow Arena on Monday, Nov. 13 to host Western Carolina. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. on ESPN+.
The Blazers (1-0) host the Catamounts (1-1) ahead of their trip to the Great Alaska Shootout in which UAB will play Eastern Kentucky on Nov. 18 followed by Utah or Alaska Anchorage on Nov. 19.
Redshirt sophomore guard Mia Moore is coming off a career performance in her first game as a Blazer in which she scored 27 points to lead UAB to a 70-63 victory over Alabama A&M. The Mississippi State transfer was 11-of-14 from the floor and add six rebounds in her Blazer debut.
Western Carolina opened the season with a 101-27 victory over Agnes Scott then sustained a 67-49 loss to Radford last Thursday. This is WCU's first road game of the season.
Monday will be the third all-time meeting between UAB and Western Carolina with the Blazers winning each of the first two.
Women's basketball season tickets are available for $65 by purchasing the 2023-24 Gold Card. The Gold Card allows access to all home events for Women's Soccer, Men's Soccer, Volleyball, Women's Basketball, Softball and Baseball (Regions Field & Young Memorial). This card is not valid for American Athletic Conference Championship events or NCAA Championship events.
