BIRMINGHAM – The UAB women's soccer team wraps up its homestand Sunday morning when it faces Rice. Kickoff at PNC Field is 11 a.m.
UAB LATELY
UAB (4-4-5, 0-1-4 AAC) is coming off a 1-1 draw against USTA Oct. 12. The Blazers are in fifth place in the East Division with four points. UAB is 2-3-2 at home this season.
RICE LATELY
Rice (3-10-1, 1-4-0 AAC) snapped its nine match unbeaten streak with a 1-0 victory over Temple Oct. 12. The Owls are in fifth place in the West Division with three points. Rice is 3-5-1 on the road this season.
THE SERIES VS. RICE
Rice leads the all-time series 10-5-1, however UAB leads 4-3-1 in Birmingham.
LAST TIME AGAINST RICE
UAB concluded the regular season with a 0-0 draw against Rice on Oct. 29, 2022. The Blazer backline held Rice to only three shots, with none on target, giving keeper Eve Beyer her league-tying eighth clean sheet.
COMMON OPPONENTS
UAB and Rice have six common opponents.: Memphis, Florida Atlantic, Temple, Tulsa, UTSA and USF. The Owls also faces Stephen F. Austin and TCU, but those were exhibition matches.
