TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – UAB men's tennis (0-1) battled with Alabama (3-0) but fell just short, 5-2. Michal Lusovsky starred for the Blazers, picking up a singles win over ITA No. 35 Enzo Aguiard.
"It felt great to get back on court and start competing in our dual match season opener today." Head Coach Justin DeSanto said, "Our guys competed their tails off and really put themselves in a position to steal this match but in the end Alabama was too good today. Proud of our guys for all showing up and competing until the very end. A battle like this will give us a lot of confidence moving forward."
The match was tightly contested, from the doubles point down to the final few matches.

Alabama took home the doubles point, winning two of the three matches, but the Blazers nearly swiped it away.
