UAB Women’s Golf to Host Hoover Invite This Monday and Tuesday

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB women's golf team is set to host the Hoover Invite this Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 19-20, at Hoover Country. The two-day tournament is set for an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start each day.
Along with the Blazers, the field includes Belmont, South Alabama, Memphis, Southern Miss, North Alabama, Jacksonville, Southern Illinois, Samford and Northern Colorado.
The field will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday. The course is a par 72 that plays 6,019 yards.
Head Coach Jesse Lawley will field a team that consists of Emilia Smith, Marilyn Steed, Erika Allen, Karlee Allen and Peyton Costabile. Both Grace Sinclair and Katrina Gustafssone will compete as individuals.
"We are very excited for the week ahead and have an incredible opportunity to host a tournament in our city," Lawley said. "Hoover Country Club has opened their arms to us, especially to me as a new coach, and we are very thankful to them for that. We are excited for our fans to come watch us play this week! Go Blazer!!"
