Track and Field Gets Ready to Perform at Maroon and White Invite

BIRMINGHAM- The UAB track and field team will be traveling to Starkville, MS to compete in the Maroon and White Invitational April 29-30. The Blazers are coming off a weekend that saw the team turn in a quality outing at the Crimson Tide Invitational in Tuscaloosa.

"We are missing several athletes that are graduating and we are so proud of them and their accomplishments," said head coach Kurt Thomas. "This is our last regular season meet before C-USA Championships in a few weeks. We have had a lot of improvements and PRs the last few weeks, we are looking to continue those this week and keep sharpening up some technique and speed for conference. This time of year is all about feeling good and confident going into big meets. That's what are trying to do this weekend and keep it going through C-USA's."

28 Blazers will be in action at Mississippi State. Though not competing this weekend, Anna Massa is currently tied for 24th in women's pole vault in the NCAA.
