Men’s Tennis Falls to Troy, Georgia Southern

BIRMINGHAM - The UAB men's tennis team dropped a pair of matches last week to Troy and Georgia Southern.
TROY 5, UAB 2
Troy started the match by winning the doubles point in two close matches. Roman Postolka / Nikola Puric and Parker Bradbary / Thanos Spyropoulos each fell 6-4 on Courts 2 and 3, respectively. Michal Lusovsky / Vojtech Podzemny were leading 6-5 on Court 1 when the point was decided.
The Blazers won on Courts 1 and 4. Lusovsky came from a set down to win on Court 1 in a breaker, 3-6, 7-5, 10-1. Postolka also made a comeback, winning in three sets 3-6, 6-1, 6-4.
GEORGIA SOUTHERN 6, UAB 1
The doubles point was tight throughout. Puric and Postolka won on Court 3 6-3, but Bradbary and Spyropoulos had a 7-5 setback on Court 2. Lusovsky and Podzemny fell in a 7-4 breaker on Court 1.
Lusovsky earned the only point for UAB. He was a straight set winner on Court 1, 6-4, 6-4. Spyropoulos split sets on Court 2 5-7, 6-3 before falling in a breaker 10-7.
UP NEXT
The Blazers travel to Virginia where they take on William & Mary on March 19 followed by their second Conference USA match of the year against No. 48 Old Dominion on March 20.
