UAB Set to Face Colgate on Tuesday

BIRMINGHAM- UAB softball will take on Colgate tomorrow at 6:00 p.m. at Mary Bowers Field.
The Blazers are currently 14-10, with a 2-1 C-USA record. UAB will look to keep its record versus Colgate (4-0) spotless as they prepare for Tuesday night.
UAB LATELY
UAB is coming off a 2-1 weekend versus FIU, where the Blazers outscored the Panthers 21-1. Preseason All-Conference Selection Sierra Frazier is beginning to hit her midseason form, with 20 RBIs on the season, including six in her last three games. Sarah Cespedes (7-2) is having a strong season, with 34 strikeouts. Faith Hegh and Sierra Frazier are tied for second in Conference USA in doubles (7) and tied for third in triples (2). Ten different true freshmen have taken the field so far for the Blazers.
SCOUTING THE RAIDERS
Colgate (8-9) is looking to get back over .500 after dropping a double-header versus North Alabama on Sunday. Kaitlyn Borruso leads her team in hitting with a .375 percentage, and Taylor Ludwick leads the Raiders with four home runs. Bailey Misken (2-5) is Colgate's top choice in the circle, with 42 strikeouts. Freshman Jillian Herbst has been a consistent player for the Raiders, she opened the season on a 13-game hit streak and was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week earlier this month.
GAME INFORMATION
UAB will play Colgate at 6:00 p.m. this Tuesday at Mary Bowers Field. This game is Taco Tuesday, when fans can receive free walking tacos while supplies last. It is also $2 Tuesday, when all tickets are $2. This offer cannot be pre-purchased.
Softball season tickets are available by purchasing the 2021-22 Gold Card for $65 here. The 2021-22 Gold Card will get you access to all home events for Women's Soccer, Men's Soccer, Volleyball, Women's Basketball, Softball, and Baseball (Regions Field & Young Memorial). This card is not valid for Conference USA or NCAA Championship events.
