UAB Rifle Concludes Regular Season Saturday at Jacksonville State

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB rifle team will conclude its regular season Saturday when the Blazers travel to Jacksonville, Alabama, for a match at Jacksonville State. Saturday's match against the Gamecocks is set to begin at 8 a.m.
The Blazers will send six student-athletes to this weekend's match – seniors Sophia Flores and Jordan Blankenship, juniors Tommy Loring, Amy Kohan, and Maggie Vonderau, and sophomore Taylor Jones.
Kohan and Blankenship paced the Blazers in their win at Wofford this past weekend, posting season-high individual aggregate scores of 1,167 and 1,136, respectively. UAB defeated the Terriers 4,571-4,325 and placed four shooters in the top five of the competition.
Jacksonville State is coming off a tri-meet win in Charleston, South Carolina, over Georgia Southern and VMI. Jacksonville State's aggregate score of 4,657 was 36 points better than Georgia Southern's 4,621. The Gamecocks placed four shooters in the top five of Saturday's match.
