BIRMINGHAM – Softball season is almost here! There is so much to be excited about in Birmingham as the UAB softball team opens its schedule up on Feb. 11 in Lafayette, La. The team welcomes 15 newcomers to the roster for the 2022 season. UABSports.com will introduce you to these new Blazers and provide unique opportunities to get to know them.

Why did you choose UAB?
TA: "UAB is closer to home, it offered the grad program I wanted, and it felt like everything just fell into place and that this is where I was meant to be."
What is your major?
TA: M.B.A
Favorite Musician?
TA: Reba
First softball Memory:
TA: "My first year in tee ball, my friend and I used to fight over the balls hit to the outfield because we wanted to be the one to field it and throw it in."
Describe yourself in three words:
TA: "Joyful, Social, Caring."
Dream travel destination:
TA: "New York City."
Favorite thing to do outside of softball:
TA: "Going shopping, watching sunsets, and spending time with my family and friends."
What are you most looking forward to this season?
TA: "Playing my first real game since my surgery in March 2021."
