Blazers Travel to Norfolk for MEAC #2

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB bowling team travels to Norfolk, Va. to compete in their second MEAC competition of the season. The two-day event runs Feb. 19 through Feb 20.
In their last competition, the Blazers placed fourth at the Flyer Classic in Lockport, Ill., hosted by Lewis University.
Junior Katie Hurley, the reigning MEAC Bowler of the week, won the individual competition totaling a 1,096 total pinfall with an average of 219.20 over 5 games. Junior Jamie Krasnigor (960 total pinfall, 192.0 average) was the only other top 15 finisher for the Blazers finishing 13th.
Competing with the Blazers this weekend is No. 6 North Carolina A&T, No. 14 Delaware State, No. 16 Maryland-Eastern Shore, No. 18 Morgan State, No. 24 Monmouth, Coppin State, Howard and Norfolk.
Following the MEAC competition, the Blazers will travel to Greensboro, N.C. to compete at the Stallings Invitational, hosted by North Carolina A&T.
