UAB Women’s Golf Announces 2021-22 Schedule

BIRMINGHAM - First year head coach Kari Bellville has announced the 2021-2022 schedule for the UAB women's golf team which is highlighted by five tournaments in the fall and a minimum of five tournaments in the spring.
"My objective this year was to get our girls in a variety of fields and play in some different events we have not been to before," Bellville said. "Our fall schedule will certainly not disappoint with five tournaments."
The Blazers open the fall slate at the USA Intercollegiate hosted by South Alabama in Mobile from Sept. 4-6. Next, UAB heads home to host the UAB Hoover Invite at the Hoover Country Club from Sept. 20-21.
The following week, Sept. 27-29, the Blazers travel to Missouri to participate in The Johnie Imes Invitational hosted by the Missouri Tigers at Old Hawthorne in Columbia, Missouri.
Following Missouri, the Blazers hit the road once again to compete at the FAU Jupiter Women's Invitational in Port St. Lucie, Fla. at the PGA Golf Club from Oct. 4-5. The fall schedule concludes with a first time trip to Paradise Island, The Bahamas, for the White Sands Golf Invitational from Oct. 22-24.
The Blazers kick off their spring competition on Feb. 14 with a two-day tournament in Jacksonville at the San Jose Country Club. UAB then heads to New Orleans, La. for the Tchefuncta Invitation, as South Alabama play hosts, Feb. 21-22.
Next, UAB has an extended break until it co-hosts the Bama Beach Bash with South Alabama at the Gulf Shores Golf Club from March 20-22.
UAB's final matchup before the Conference USA Tournament takes place April 9-10 at the IU Invitational in Bloomington, Ind., hosted by Indiana.
The Conference USA Championship will be played April 18-20. The location is set to be determined at a later date. If the Blazers advance, NCAA Regionals will be played at four sites around the country followed by the NCAA Championship May 20-25 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Tempe, Ariz.
"I am excited for our Blazers to compete each week in tournaments that are highly competitive," Bellville added. "These environments will be beneficial in developing our players and preparing our team for postseason championship play."
