Robinson Wins 5000m on Day One of Maroon and White Invite

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Lauren Robinson took home the title in the 5000-meters on day one of the Maroon and White Invitational on Friday at the Mike Sanders Track Complex.
Robinson crossed the line with a time of 17:27.80 for her first win of the outdoor season. Laura Thompson placed fifth in the event with a time of 17:55.41.
Freshman Kaylie Wright had a top-five finish in the long jump with her distance of 5.86-meters.
Makiyah Sills placed ninth in the 200-meters after finishing with a time of 25.29. Junior Ebony Tolliver finished closely behind at 25.31 to place 11th in the event.
